Millergold emerged from tragedy and found solace in the strings of a guitar and the beat of a drum. Formed in 2023, the band is a poignant tribute to Miller, the son of members Nate and Bailey Elliott. His loss is a profound presence in their lives, one that resonates deeply in the music they create.
With Bailey Elliott on vocals and guitar, Tucker Merchant on drums, and Nate Elliott on bass, Millergold captures the raw emotions of grief and healing in their music. Drawing inspiration from bands like The Dangerous Summer, Alter Bridge, and boygenius, Millergold blends poignant lyrics with powerful melodies to forge a unique sound within the alternative rock scene, which they affectionately term "grief rock."
Their debut EP, "We'll Never Say Goodbye," is a deeply personal project, recorded in Richmond, Virginia with AJ Perdomo of The Dangerous Summer. Beyond their music, the bonds within Millergold run deep. Tucker and Bailey are siblings, while Nate, originally Tucker's best friend, became a part of the family through marriage to Bailey. Their shared experiences and collective loss forge the emotional backbone of their music. "We'll Never Say Goodbye" releases on April 19, 2024, marking Millergold's heartfelt entry into the music world, promising to touch the hearts of anyone who has ever faced loss and found a way forward through the healing power of music.
